Songs I sing when no ones listening

Fourth day now after being shoved in the head by 2 strangers who did not know better , and the head is clearer,

I feel sometimes a little rage is a good thing if its energies are directed to the right outcome.

Sometimes, somethings must happen before you make decisions to
be someone’s voice..

even when people are listening. Out loud, even if they thought you wouldn’t dare shout about violation of human rights ;

even if youre not feeling strong enough to object / theres s a way to do things, the right way.

We used to know a family that beat their daughter up. I remember my mother barging in and stopping the harassment.

There used to be a family with a strange disease down the road where we lived and she ( Ma again ) picked up every gut she ever had , walked in and gave them a good doctors address. I always marvelled at the way she did that ;

the Older sister in that family, had eyebrows fallen out, fingers reduced to stumps and the skin had that pinkish glaze. I must ve stared, and hung behind ma, shocked at everybody’s state. But she did something useful, Ma.

Today I remember her and wonder that Ive been so so afraid to speak up for people who had no voice..

……………………………………………………………………………………………………….

listen carefully you will hear my broken voice thrill

with discarded songs ; lesser travelled routes, like lanes

meshed in with thorn and unseen lights, but here my soul

stripped from even things like pain, knows here,

here, here, here, I am free and birthed

all over again.Wilds

Here I need no voice, nor embrace

, nor loss nor gain

in the silence of an unbroken face, forgotten whispers

return, like rain. Much awaited rain.

………………………………………………………………………………………………

then sings my soul, One – who-saved-me .. …

/ more..
